“He’ll be frustrated” – Newscastle United manager Eddie Howe speaks up and sends Bruno Guimaraes heartfelt message with Newcastle ban is at high risk probability
Eddie Howe wants to keep Bruno Guimaraes on the team, but he doesn’t want the Newcastle United player to change how he plays, even though he’s about to get suspended.
As long as Bruno Guimaraes is out, Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, doesn’t want the player to change how he plays.
The Brazilian has been booked nine times so far this season in the Premier League. With just one more yellow card, he will be banned for two games. Guimaraes needs to go nine more games without getting in trouble with the referee in order to escape getting suspended twice.
At the beginning of the year, the former Lyon player got cautions in four straight games against Luton Town, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, and Manchester City. However, he has now gone two games without getting a yellow card. Howe knows that Bruno is going to get in trouble soon, but he won’t be telling him to tone down his anger in the next few weeks.
“He has to play that way,” the manager of the Magpies told reporters on Friday. “For him to give his best performances, he has to be emotionally strong and dedicated.”
“Some of the jobs he’s been given this year will make him angry.” It’s how you learn. He is in a risky spot, and we don’t want to lose him. He needs to be able to control his feelings so that we can get through this.
If Guimaraes is banned, it will be even harder for Howe to choose who to play because there are so many injuries in the middle of the field. As of late, Newcastle only has three healthy midfielders: Bruno, Lewis Miley, and Sean Longstaff. In recent games, all three have started together.
Joe Willock is getting close to making his long-awaited return, and Elliot Anderson is also back in training after a long break. The first one has been having trouble with their Achilles, and the second one hurt their back by accident early in the season.
Joelinton, Guimaraes’s Brazilian teammate, might not play again this season, and Sandro Tonali, who is banned, won’t play again until the 2024–25 season starts.
