Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag speaks bad on a ’reckless’ tackle, causing Manchester United to affected with two more injuries setback in their defeat to Manchester City
Ever since Man United lost 3-1 to Manchester City on Sunday, Erik ten Hag has said some worrying things.
Manchester United lost 3-1 to Manchester City on Sunday. After the game, boss Erik ten Hag said that Jonny Evans and Marcus Rashford are both hurt again. Ten Hag was given a yellow card at the Etihad Stadium. He also said that Kyle Walker and Ederson should not have been able to fight in the moments before City’s first two goals.
Rashford scored his sixth goal of the season against City to start things off. It was his first goal, and it shocked the home team when he shot a first-touch try past Ederson from far away.
He scored two goals, and Erling Haaland added a late one to give his team a 2-0 win in the Premier League match. That being said, Pep Guardiola’s team was able to win in the second half because they were better.
In spite of this, Foden’s goal in the 56th minute was criticized in some ways. After Rashford thought Kyle Walker had fouled him on the break, just before the goal at the other end of the field, Ten Hag was booked for his angry response, which led to the booking.
No matter how much Ten Hag agreed that it would have been a minor foul, he became even more angry after the game was over.
Let’s say this instead, though. There was a lot of talk about it. “I think there was contact at that point, and that was a turning point in the game,” Ten Hag told Sky Sports.
When you’re in the middle of a full run and someone touches you lightly, it throws off your rhythm. It felt soft. This is what made him (Rashford) fall.
At the news conference after that, he said, “I will not say that it was a tackle from Walker.” Rashy was the one who told me that there was touch after they ran away.
I thought about it again. The feel of it was lovely. Getting touched while running at full speed takes away all of your control, and I think that’s what happened to me.
Ten Hag also brought up the challenge that Ederson made on Alejandro Garnacho while the Argentine youth was chasing a through ball.
Ederson made a hard tackle with his foot, and the Dutch player says it was a “reckless” hit that enabled City to score again.
