Casemiro was strongly attacked by Paul Scholes, a former midfielder for Manchester United, for his role in the second goal scored by Manchester City in their 3-1 loss in the derby match that took place at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. The contest included Manchester City’s loss to Manchester United.

United found themselves in a 1-0 lead at the halfway break as a result of a goal scored by Marcus Rashford that was a contender for the award of Being the Best Goal of the Season. After the break, however, they were unable to compete with their opponents and were defeated. In the first place, Phil Foden scored a spectacular equalizer from a distance, and then he doubled his total with ten minutes of normal time still to play. Both of these objectives were accomplished by Foden.

Erling Haaland was able to complete off the score in stoppage time by stroking home an ice-cold finish. He was responsible for wasting a good opportunity before halftime despite the fact that he was accountable for wasting it. United should have done a much better job of dealing with City’s goals, with the exception of Foden’s first goal, which was absolutely immaculate. However, United did a really good job of dealing with City’s goals.

I took note of what Bruno Fernandes did after Erling Haaland failed to make a shot against United, and it seemed as though he was attempting to give as much information as possible.

Paul Scholes

The situation that Manchester United finds itself in as a result of their defeat at the hands of City is exemplified by the gift that Pep Guardiola gave to Antony.

Foden was able to score a second goal by sending the ball past Andre Onana because Casemiro was unable to track him down as he entered the penalty area. Julian Alvarez, who was a substitute, and Foden played a beautiful one-two, and Foden switched passes with him. Foden was also involved in the action. To say that Scholes, who plays in the middle of the field, was exceedingly dissatisfied with Casemiro’s inability to block the move would be an understatement.

Paul Scholes, a star for Manchester United, sent a message to a midfielder who was 32 years old and called him a “criminal” after Manchester City became the team’s opponent.

When Scholes was being interviewed by Premier League Productions, he made the following statement: “Take a look at Casemiro during that one-two.” When it comes to the responsibility of holding the midfield position in a defensive stance, that is a serious offense!

According to the statement, “The gap shouldn’t be that far, and Casemiro, with the experience he has, should not be getting done with a one-two there.”

United’s effort in the first half was respectable and worthy of praise, as they entered halftime with a 1-0 advantage over their opponent after the first half. They were able to catch City on the counterattack, and they shoved their bodies in front of everything that the home team threw at them in an effort to find a way to equalize the score. They were successful in doing so.

The United team retreated till the conclusion of the second half, and as City increased the amount of pressure they were putting, they went further and deeper into their defensive shell. The distance that existed between the two clubs was brought into closer perspective, according to Scholes, during the second half of the contest.

“Once United fell behind, they didn’t really have the answers, they don’t have the quality of Manchester City, and they can’t keep a spell of possession for three or four minutes,” he continued. “They are unable to maintain possession for this amount of time.” The most amount of time that they are able to maintain possession is three or four minutes. A quality such as that is not something that they have.
