The former Celtic manager reveals the latest fresh update about Celtic Fc 30-years-old captain Callum McGregor injury

The fact that Callum McGregor got hurt pretty much sums up Celtic’s season so far.

It’s been a terrible season for injuries for Brendan Rodgers. Top players like Reo Hatate, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Kyogo Furuhashi, Greg Taylor, and Alistair Johnston have all spent time in Celtic’s medical center.

But besides Carter-Vickers, Celtic fans and Rodgers have probably had to deal with the worst news of the season so far: Callum McGregor is out.

After what Rodgers said about his illness this weekend, it doesn’t look like the Hoops captain will miss many games.

What the Celtic captain told Neil Lennon about his illness seems to back that up even more. The former Celtic manager talked about a chat he had with the important midfielder, which will make Celtic fans happy.

On page 3 of The Herald, Lennon wrote, “Callum McGregor was a huge miss.” On Sunday, he was huge.

“When he wasn’t there, Celtic missed his influence.” Some people don’t think much of him. He’s so good, so knowledgeable, and so smart about games.

“That’s what Celtic didn’t have against Hearts. He needs to return right away. There are a few games coming up that they should be able to handle, and then there is the international break. After that, you hope he’ll be fully recovered.

I talked to him after the game on Sunday, and he didn’t think he would be out for too long. Celtic needs him back right away.

“Caller McGregor is a great player, and every Celtic team would want one, especially now in the season.”

Unfortunately, McGregor will not be able to play again until after the international break. We hope he will be able to return for this weekend’s game against Livingston and next weekend’s game against St. Johnstone.

So, the Celtic captain is expected to be back for the game against David Martindale’s team at the Tony Macaroni Arena on March 31. But the most important game is the Glasgow Derby on April 7.
