Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher finally reveals the name of the Newcastle United defender that is much better than Ben White in Premier League defense line

Even though Newcastle has a lot of good defenders, Jamie Carragher thinks Eddie Howe has one of the best in England.

Kevin Trippier is one of the four players that Jamie Carragher says are better than Ben White. This season, the Arsenal defender has been very important for Mikel Arteta’s team in the race for the Premier League title. However, the former Liverpool defender thinks Eddie Howe is still the better right back.

Trippier’s deal at St. James’ Park ends in 2025, but he has already played 25 times in the English Premier League this season and set up 10 goals. Newcastle is trying to stay in the top half of the table, but they have had some bad luck. The 33-year-old has set up more goals than players like Mohamed Salah, Cole Palmer, and Bukayo Saka.

White, on the other hand, has only helped score six goals this season. But the Arsenal star has helped his team score more goals and allow fewer than any other team in the league (24 vs. 40 for Newcastle). They are also in a strong position to win the title.

With the European Championships coming up, Carragher and Gary Neville talked with Premier League fans on The Overlap about England’s choices at right back. Something Arsenal fan said made Trippier look bad, but. The former Liverpool back jumped to protect Trippier.

“Rightly so Ben White is fourth or fifth choice to be totally honest,” he said. There is no one better than him than Trent, Walker, Reece James, or Trippier. First, he’s not going to play. He doesn’t even play center back for his club, so I don’t think so. He likely thinks he can take it easy and get ready for Arsenal.

This is not about the last six months. It’s about the last two or three years in general. Don’t just look at this from Arsenal’s point of view. Trippier has had a rough few months, but for England over the last two or three years he’s been great.

It’s no secret that Southgate has always liked Trippier, who has become something of a leader in the England team. In June 2021, the Three Lions manager told BBC Radio FiveLive that the Magpies back has been a key part of the country’s recent success.

Südgate said, “He is a very underrated player.” “People still see the player from a few years ago instead of the one who plays like a warrior for Atletico Madrid now and has for the last few seasons.” He played really well and is an important part of what we’ve done over the last few years.

Many people don’t like White these days, but Arteta is still a big fan. When asked about the former Brighton defender’s welcome back to London Colney this week, the Arsenal manager told reporters on Friday that he has gotten “a lot of love.”

“I believe he has grown very loved,” Arteta said. “You should find out what his football teammates and other football people, especially those who know him well, think of him.”

“I believe people have accepted his choice. We hope that he is ready to one day do the best job possible for his country. But that’s his choice alone.”
