Manchester City and Arsenal played to a 0-0 draw at the Etihad Stadium, with David Raya playing great for Arsenal. However, Gary Neville didn’t like the goalie.

Gary Neville picked out David Raya for how badly he played against Manchester City, calling him “terrible” and saying he kept “falling over.” The goalie, who is 28 years old, kept a clean sheet at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. This gave Arsenal a huge chance to win the Premier League title.

Gabģães and Saliba made it so that Raya only had to stop one shot. But Neville wasn’t impressed when the Spaniard helped set up the play. This ex-Manchester United defender told Sky Sports, “Raya’s kicking has been terrible.” The fact that he keeps falling over while kicking it doesn’t help.

Fans also thought Raya was taking too long to join the match. Antony Taylor finally gave the on-loan Brentford goalkeeper a yellow card for his behavior. Even so, he will be happy with his game because he kept his second clean sheet of the season against the defending champs.

Vicente Guaita kept a clean sheet for Crystal Palace in October 2021, so Raya was the first goalie from the other team to do the same thing against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Even though Mikel Arteta’s team couldn’t get all three points, the manager of the Gunners was happy.

“It was a really tough, really close game against an unbelievable team,” Arteta told the club’s press. “I believe the boys did really, really well against each other. We were very responsible and patient when we needed to be.It’s your turn! Who is going to win the Premier League? Share your guess with us in the comments.

“The upside was that we had some big chances, some big situations that we didn’t convert and the fact that we lacked a little bit of composure, especially with the ball in the first phase to play more, to have more, to be more courageous to play but credit to them because they make your life difficult.”

Arteta said, “That’s how I feel every day in the locker room” when asked if his players thought they had a chance to win the game. That’s not possible. These guys haven’t scored a goal at home in three years, but we stopped them today. That alone tells you how hard it is.

“But they need more.” Also, each of us could have done more. We could have done more as a group. That’s good to see. We’re taking the right steps, but let’s keep doing what’s working and keep getting better.
