The terrifying statement from the Al Azaim Foundation, which is often used by ISIS to spread messages, was a threat to all of this week’s Champions League quarterfinal games. A scary sign with the words “Kill them all” and the names of all the stadiums that would be hosting the games was released.

Tonight, Arsenal plays Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium. At the same time, Real Madrid hosts Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu. On Wednesday, Atletico Madrid will host Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in Spain. In the French capital, Paris Saint-Germain will host Barcelona, which will be a match between two champions.

In response to the threat from ISIS, UEFA made a remark. “UEFA is aware of alleged terrorist threats made against this week’s UEFA Champions League matches and is in close contact with the authorities at each venue,” it said.

“All matches are planned to go ahead as scheduled with appropriate security arrangements in place.”

These scary events happened soon after the horrible attack by armed rebels from the Islamic State on the Crocus City Concert Hall in Moscow on March 22. The attackers claimed they were from that group and opened fire on people who were there. People were scared and died, and about 200 were hurt in the terrible event.

Sarh al-Khilafah, a media outlet related to ISIS, posted an image a week ago that made threats of an attack on Allianz Arena, home of Bayern Munich, during the Bundesliga match between Bayern and Borussia Dortmund. Since then, Spanish police have strengthened their defenses. They stated: “in terms of preventing the terrorist threat, the State Security Forces and Bodies have activated all their early warning and protection systems, as well as all their response mechanisms ready and willing.”

To make things even safer, over 2,000 members of the National Police and Civil Guard will be sent to Madrid tomorrow to keep a close eye on the city.

Ade Adelekan, the Deputy Assistant Commissioner in charge of London’s police today, said in a statement, “The UK terrorism threat level remains at “substantial,” which means an attack is likely. We work closely with colleagues from across Counter Terrorism Policing to plan for events here in London, taking into account any relevant information that could help us keep those attending safe.”

The Al Azaim Foundation, which is often responsible for spreading ISIS propaganda, put out a scary sign with the words “Kill them all” and the names of all four stadiums where the games were being held.

ISIS made terrorist threats against this week’s Champions League quarterfinal games, but UEFA has reassured fans that all of the games, including Arsenal vs. Bayern Munich, will go ahead as planned.

“We’re aware of reports online and in the news about calls to target matches in London and across Europe.” However, I want to tell everyone that we have a strong police plan for tonight’s game and are still working closely with the club’s security team to make sure the game goes smoothly.

“As ever, we ask the public to remain vigilant, and if they see any that doesn’t look or feel right, then report it to police or security staff.”
