Before the transfer deadline, Arsenal is said to be trying to sign a great player who has been compared to Mohamed Salah and Eden Hazard.

Arsenal is allegedly keeping a close eye on Andreas Skov Olsen, a winger for Club Brugge. The Gunners are thinking about making a late summer move for the Danish player.

The 24-year-old player is thought to be worth between €25 million and €30 million, and CaughtOffside reports that Arsenal are interested in signing him as a backup for Bukayo Saka.

Skov Olsen had a great season. He scored 26 goals and set up eight others across all categories. He played in four games for Denmark at Euro 2024 as well. Klaus Egelund, a Danish writer, has said that Skov Olsen is like Eden Hazard because he plays on the right wing with his left foot, like Arjen Robben and Mohamed Salah.

Arsenal has not yet signed a new forward, even though they were linked with a number of players over the summer. After the Slovenian scorer signed a new deal with RB Leipzig, they were no longer able to sign Benjamin Sesko. Other players wanted by the club, like Viktor Gyokeres, Nico Williams, and Victor Osimhen, also don’t look likely to join this summer.

Arsenal is no longer as interested in Brentford’s Ivan Toney, even though he was recently left out of Brentford’s games against Crystal Palace and Liverpool. The ties to Jonathan David have also grown weaker.

As of now, Riccardo Calafiori and David Raya are the only experienced players that Arsenal has brought in during the summer. It cost €45 million to bring in Calafiori from Bologna, and €31.9 million was paid to make Raya’s loan move from Brentford permanent.

Calafiori played his first game for Arsenal in their 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday. He came on in place of Jurrien Timber in the 79th minute and helped the Gunners keep a clean sheet for the second game in a row.

Alexandre Smith Rowe has been sold by Arsenal to Fulham. Also, Mohamed Elneny, Cedric Soares, and Arthur Okonkwo have all left the club because their contracts were up.

The loan player Fabio Vieira is going back to FC Porto, and the player Charlie Patino is going to join Deportivo La Coruna. It’s also likely that striker Eddie Nketiah and winger Reiss Nelson will leave the club before Friday, which is the end of the transfer window.
