“We could’ve scored five or six goals,” Liverpool player Mohamed Salah mocks Man United with a full statement after their victory during the Manchester United vs. Liverpool (0-3) match
Mohamed Salah caused more trouble for Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, as he scored three goals in Liverpool’s 3-0 win.
Mohamed Salah, a winger for Liverpool, said he was “surprised” by how easy it was for him and his teammates to beat Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday. He said they could have scored “five or six” goals.
The Merseysiders kept up their perfect start to the season with goals from Salah and Luis Diaz, who scored twice in the first half. They had the upper hand for most of the competition and could have won by even more.
Even though United got off to a good start in the first five minutes, they were not the best and couldn’t find a flow. They didn’t have a clear style of play, and Liverpool’s speed and energy often let their middle down.
Liverpool could have done even more damage to Erik ten Hag’s team if they wanted to. Salah has scored 15 goals against United in his career, including 10 in his last seven games at Old Trafford.
In response to a question from Roy Keane on Sky Sports, Salah said, “To be fair, I was surprised at how easy it was. The game was open, and we knew that they would try to play man mark and run behind us the whole pitch after the first half because they were down 2-0.”
“I agree with you, that was a little strange.” Five or six could have been the end of the game.
“The new manager comes with his style and he wants everyone to adapt, he had a few meetings with senior groups saying you need to set an example for the younger players.”
