Mount’s goal was quickly overshadowed by a late equalizer, and Kristoffer Ajer saved an important point for the Bees in their fight to stay alive. The Reds player celebrated with a happy post on Instagram, even though the team lost in west London.

Mason Mount scored his first goal for Manchester United after 14 games since moving there from Chelsea in the summer.

Declan Rice told Mason Mount how proud he was that he scored his first goal for Manchester United. The 25-year-old midfielder, who moved from Chelsea to Old Trafford in a controversial move, scored the game-winning goal in extra time against Brentford.

As Mount rolled off the field to celebrate, chaos broke out in the away end of the G-Tech Community Stadium. He cupped his ear, slid to his knees, and then thumped the United badge on his chest. This season, the former Chelsea star has had a lot of trouble with injuries. The last time he scored, 14 games ago, he did it in style.

Mount told the away fans that he appreciated their support and promised to end the season on a high note. “Mixed feelings, but I’m proud to celebrate my first goal for this club!” the England player wrote. We will keep working to end the season on a good note. Thanks for all your help.”

In just a few hours, his post got almost 500,000 likes, and thousands of people left comments. Some of the people who sent Mount words of support were Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, Sofyan Amrabat, and Antony.

Dominic Solanke, who played with Mount when they were both young at Chelsea, also helped out. Many people liked Declan Rice’s reply the most; the Arsenal midfielder wrote, “Buzzing for you bro [red heart emoji]”

Erik ten Hag told the official United website after the game that Andre Onana had done a great job. He said, “Of course we need to talk about this because we made some mistakes.” We should not have done what we did when we let in the equalizer; we should have done something different.

When a goal is scored in extra time that we may not have deserved, I have to praise the team for staying in the game. Though they were fighting, I thought Brentford wanted the game more the whole time. But we need to take it over the whole thing, take it beyond the time.

Ten Hag also said, “I thought we were good in some situations, and when we won, I didn’t think we deserved it. But we should take the wins and do that more often.” We were battling and had some great chances. Andre Onana played great tonight.
