BREAKING: Al-Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo Set to Extend Contract
Reports say that Cristiano Ronaldo and the Saudi club Al-Nassr have agreed to extend his deal for another season, which will end in June 2026. Sources say that the deal is official, but that the official signatures have not been added yet. In the next few days, there should be an official statement.
This past week, the Portuguese football star marked his 40th birthday. He first signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Al-Nassr in December 2022, not long after the Qatar World Cup ended. He was the first famous football player to join the Saudi league, which is growing very quickly. Since then, players like Karim Benzema and Neymar have joined, going along with the trend.
Cristiano Ronaldo has played 90 times for Al-Nassr and scored 82 goals and set up 19 others. In his time with the club, he has won many trophies, but he hasn’t added any new ones yet. Forbes magazine in the United States said that Ronaldo was the highest-paid player in the world in 2023, making a staggering 136 million dollars, of which 46 million was his salary.
