Breaking News: 26 years-old Celtic Fc center-back Cameron Carter-Vickers have officially signed a new contract with the club
Cameron Carter-Vickers, a defender for Celtic, has signed a new contract that is for five and a half years.
He has made 101 appearances for Celtic, scoring five goals; “I have had a great welcome and support from the Celtic fans ever since I came here,” said Cameron Carter-Vickers, who has agreed to a new long-term deal with the club.
The deal will keep the 26-year-old defender with the Scottish champions until 2029.
In his statement, he expressed his happiness at the prospect of signing a new contract with Celtic. From the very beginning, I have been a huge fan of the club in every way, and I am overjoyed to have been a part of some truly remarkable moments that have occurred over the course of the past several years.
Ever since I arrived, the Celtic fans have shown me a tremendous amount of support and has extended a warm welcome to me.
The love and enthusiasm that our supporters have for the club is something that we are all aware of. There is nothing more exciting than playing at Celtic Park when it is filled, and I am thrilled to be playing my football here.
“I have really enjoyed working with the manager, the staff and great team-mates and we will all be doing everything we can to bring our fans more and more success over the next few years.”
Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Celtic, offered the following statement: “This is wonderful news for all of us that Cameron has extended his contract with the club.”
“Ever since he joined the club, he has been an absolute rock for us, and he has consistently performed at such a high standard, week in and week out.
The fact that he has been such a pillar of strength in our defense and a real leader in the team is something that I am aware of, and I am also aware that his teammates hold him in such high regard.
Because I am aware that Cam has a deep affection for both the club and the city, and because he has truly made Celtic his home, we are overjoyed to have him here with us.
“There has been a lot of talk about the interest in him from elsewhere, but all he has done is get on with his football, decide where he wants to be and we are delighted that he sees his future at Celtic.”
Cameron Carter-Vickers, a defender for Celtic, reached an agreement with the Scottish Premiership winners for a new contract that will last for five and a half years.
The United States international became a member of the club in 2021 after first joining on loan from Tottenham. The following year, the transfer eventually became permanent.
Five goals have been scored by him during his 101 appearances for the club, including one that he scored on his very first game, which was against Ross County.
