BREAKING: The manager of Arsenal, 42 year of age Mikel Arteta, has issued a ‘aggressive’ transfer warning to Manchester City due to an absence of signings
Manchester City wants to keep the Premier League title next year, but Arsenal will want to stop the Blues from making it four wins in a row.
Mikel Arteta thinks that after a quiet summer, there will soon be more transfers in the Premier League. This is a message to Manchester City from their closest title rivals.
The last two seasons, Arsenal came in second place to City, but they fought Pep Guardiola’s team all the way. They will try to win the Premier League for the first time in 20 years and hope that it’s their third time lucky. In what could be Guardiola’s last season at the Etihad, City wants to make it five wins in a row, which would be a record.
Arteta talked about his team’s upcoming season and explained why there haven’t been any transfers so far, which was similar to what City head Khaldoon Al Mubarak said.
According to Al Mubarak, Premier League rules mean that there won’t be as many big transfers this summer. So far, only teams that need to meet Profit and Sustainability Regulation deadlines have been trading.
“With the new regulations, there are certain things we have to respect and be conscious of,” Arteta said. It’s clear that the Euros and Copa América are slowing things down. Now I hope things will get a little better.”
But Arteta did send a message to Arsenal’s rivals, saying that they have been “aggressive” in the market so far and want to improve a team that came second to City last season by just two points.
But “but we need that pain and that hunger to get what we want because the competition is so tough, and we need everyone to feel that way to get it done.”
If you look at all the numbers and what the team has done in the Premier League over the past 11 months, you can see that we should have won. The numbers back that up. In fact, we didn’t, so there’s something we haven’t been able to handle as well as Man City or other teams in the past.
“In the end, we have to be so good that our worst selves have to be much better than our opponents’ best selves.” We are going to try to do this, and to do it, we need to control a lot of things that are hard to see when you watch a football game. “That’s it for now.”
