Celtic
Celtic F.C have just found the best way out to get the 22-year-old S.L. Benfica midfielder Paulo Bernardo to move to Celtic permanently
Following the recent developments at Benfica, Celtic’s pursuit of Paulo Bernardo may have received a significant boost.
The Portuguese midfielder was on loan under Brendan Rodgers last season. Despite a shaky start to his Celtic tenure, he eventually established himself as a valuable member of the first team, particularly during the title chase.
Bernardo’s most significant contributions were his four goals and three assists for Celtic, with the contests against Rangers being the most significant.
Bernardo’s heroic status has been elevated to that of a hero as a result of his goal in the New Year Glasgow Derby and his exceptional assist for Adam Idah’s Scottish Cup final winner. In response, the Celtic manager has been encouraged to consider permanently relocating Bernardo to Glasgow.
The recent events at Benfica may potentially expedite the negotiations this week, as both clubs are currently engaging in negotiations regarding the 22-year-old’s transfer fee.

In order to enable him to progress to the Benfica first team, the adolescent will be recruited into the U23 squad.
Cruz is an exceptionally adaptable player who can fulfill Bernardo’s roles in both the central and defensive midfield regions, as well as on both flanks as a winger and in the right and left of center midfield. [Transfermarkt]
Cruz’s acquisition could expedite the 22-year-old’s departure due to Benfica’s acquisition of a potential successor to the midfielder, amid reports that Celtic are optimistic about acquiring Bernardo.
The Celtic supporters will be anticipating that Rodgers will complete at least four or five new signings, including Bernardo and Adam Idah, in order to strengthen the squad for the impending season.
