Celtic head coach Brendan Rodgers shares why it was best for Celtic rejected Premier Sports TV option

Brendan Rodgers has four events for Celtic to play in this season, so the team’s schedule is very full right now. The Celtic manager’s team plays Aberdeen in the League Cup semi-final in November. He is also making an attack on the Champions League and keeping Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table. After the New Year, he will try to protect his Scottish Cup. Because of this, some of the Bhoys’ games have had to be moved to make room for TV broadcasters.

That’s why many Celtic fans were glad when the club turned down the offer to be part of Premier Sports’ 20-game coverage deal. And Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Parkhead, agrees with them. Rodgers praises Celtic for putting fans first. Celtic fans are getting tired of all the trouble it’s causing them to have to change their plans because of the new game schedule.

Rodgers knows that, which is why he praises Celtic for their Prime Sports attitude. Rodgers told the Daily Record, “I think the club has shown that they care about the fans.” “The money was easy for them to take.” But they keep it there for fans who come to watch the games. They should have made a TV show out of it; it would have been great.

“This gives us a good run into next week and some rest before our next game on Wednesday (in the Champions League against Atalanta).” “We’ll be ready to go.” When it comes to this, you can’t really win. But the club cares about its people, which is important. Brendan Rodgers talks about how the Celtic plan is always changing.

Many Celtic fans are upset that the team’s games keep getting moved around, and it looks like Rodgers isn’t too happy about it either, since he makes it a point to talk about it. Rodgers went on, “Celtic move a lot of fixtures.” So that’s why I was so happy for the Ross County fans. A huge number of them came from all over the world to get to Dortmund, but unfortunately, the game did not go our way.

“When they get back, they have to get up early because the game at Ross County starts at noon, which is three or four hours away.” People get here from all over the country and even Ireland. They take late-night or early-morning planes, you name it. “Having their help is very important to us, so it was nice to give them a win.”

We know that Celtic fans will go anywhere at any time, but we want to show them some respect when we can, like when the games start. That’s why I believe the club made the right choice. Even though it’s a step in the right direction, Celtic still only have three games planned for Saturday at 3 p.m. until the New Year.

The games against Ross County on November 30, Hibs at Celtic Park on December 7, and Dundee away on December 14 are still set to start in the afternoon on Saturday.

The rest of them aren’t. The broadcast deal does bring in some much-needed money for the game, but it looks like the TV companies have too much control over when the games happen. Maybe that’s about to change now that Celtic has taken a stand.
