DONE DEAL: Celtic F.C. Midfielder officially leaves Celtic to join Watford this summer transfer window

The player Rocco Vata has left Celtic to train with Watford after passing a test at the Sky Bet Championship team yesterday.

In an announcement on their official X account this afternoon, the Hornets announced that the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international would be arriving. You can see the post below.

Vata leaves Celtic on a four-year deal with the chance of an extra year at Vicarage Road. This is the end of his long time with Celtic.

This is what Watford said on their club website: “Be liable to pay training compensation to Celtic, under FIFA regulations relating to players of Vata’s age.” They said this because the deal is now official [Watford FC].

Rocco Vata leaves Celtic because they couldn’t come to an agreement on a new deal.
Celtic and Vata talked for a while about giving the young player a new deal at Parkhead, but it never came together. The player was free to leave when his old deal expired.

As the weeks went by, it became clearer that the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international might be leaving. However, this once again raised more questions than answers about how the Hoops are developing their young players.

Even though he showed potential in his six senior games for the club, Watford will be the ones to benefit from his skills going forward.

In any case, he is the latest player to leave Celtic this summer, which should make room for new players to come in.

While I wish Vata the best of luck with his new business, he is no longer an important part of Parkhead and we must shift our attention to other areas.
