English football pundit Gary Neville hilariously mocked Man United with some funny comments after Brentford vs Manchester United draw match

United was lucky to get a draw against Brentford because they didn’t play well for most of the game. It’s crazy that the home team touched the ball 86 times and had 34 shots, but Mason Mount’s goal in the 96th minute put them behind.

But right after Mount’s goal, Kristoffer Ajer scored, giving his team a point and a share of the spoils. Neville believes that Ten Hag’s team hit a new low point in the game, and he made fun of his old team.

“Last night I watched them and couldn’t believe what I saw.” I thought they’d put some stress on Tottenham and Villa in the last few games. “It’s really hard to play that badly,” he said on The Gary Neville Podcast, report the Mirror.

It was a lucky escape for Manchester United to get a point against Brentford in their Premier League match on Sunday afternoon. The score was 1-1.

Gareth Neville made fun of Manchester United’s bad showing against Brentford. He even joked that he would start a petition if Erik ten Hag’s team had won all three points. They played so badly that he said it was “really difficult.” If the London team hadn’t scored late, he would have started a petition to “give them two points back.”

“Really, you know it is. I can’t think of a time when they played well in that game. Maybe in the first few minutes. Because they played so badly, when Mason Mount scored, I think we might have had to start a petition to give Brentford two points back.

“It was theft in the extreme. That is, until Brentford score. I have no idea where that act comes from, so I can’t explain it. The fact that you can get that low is very scary. You know that sometimes you don’t feel right and play bad football.

“But that was a disappointing, disappointing attempt to play football, to work as hard as you can.” They don’t do anything when you give them the ball. When they don’t have the ball, they’re really one of the worst teams.

If you compare United to Arsenal, who tied the current winners Manchester City, Neville didn’t have many good things to say about United. He also said Ten Hag’s team would have a tough time next week when they play Liverpool.

“What we’ve seen from Arsenal today, the levels of defending compactness, the work ethic of all the front players to be a cohesive unit and defend together, there’s none of that,” Neville said.

“The defenders and midfielders could do a lot better, so I’m not saying they’re not to blame.” Things aren’t united at all, though. They don’t know how to protect or play without the ball.

“Those are just really scary signs that you can get that low in a performance.” You remember where Manchester United were before the break for internationals. They had one of the most amazing moments and should be bouncing into Brentford like crazy.

“Then we saw what we saw.” Next week won’t be that bad, they can’t be that bad. But Manchester United will have a lot of trouble next week if Liverpool does their job. It can’t get worse; something new will happen.
