In January, Newcastle will be extremely active as they attempt to bolster their roster and address a multitude of injuries and suspensions. The club is monitoring midfielders and forwards, and they have initiated negotiations with key targets including Guirassy.
This season, the 27-year-old has been phenomenal for the Bundesliga club, accumulating an astounding 15 goals in nine league appearances. Haryana Spurs’ Harry Kane leads all scorers in the Bundesliga with seventeen goals scored in 17 appearances for Bayern Munich.
A release clause of merely £15 million has rendered him a feasible candidate for several clubs, among others. Sources with close ties to the player anticipate a domino effect of proposals following the club’s money-on-the-table move and initial move.Newcastle have virtually completed the transfer, having informed Guirassy’s agents and the German club verbally that they are willing to fully pay the release clause and acquire him during the winter transfer window at St. James’s Park.

Following a loan stint at the club, the forward joined Stuttgart in the summer of 2022 for £7.5 million; he is under contract with the club until 2026. At the time, many viewed this as a risk due to the four-year duration of the agreement.
