Fabrizio Romano, an Italian transfer journalist, has offered an update on Rocco Vata, who is currently playing for Celtic. Since it became apparent that a new contract would not be forthcoming, the Irish winger has been the subject of speculation over his possible departure from the Scottish Champions in recent weeks or months.
Now, Romano has disclosed that Bologna is interested in signing the 18-year-old player, who is available on a pre-contract with Celtic, and a modest fee is owed to Celtic if a deal is completed. Alternatively, Vata is available for a deal that is reduced in price this month.
After demonstrating a high level of consistency for the Celtic second team, it would appear that the player and the club are eager to part ways. This is because the Ireland U21 player is looking for additional possibilities to play for the first team. Vata has made a total of 18 appearances for Celtic B since the beginning of the season, and he has scored an astounding 11 goals for the team. However, during his stay with the club, he has only made four appearances for the First Team despite his extensive experience.

Vata joined CAA Base Agency in the summer, which indicated that he would likely move on in the summer. However, no agreement was made, which resulted in him being deployed in the Lowland Leagues by Stephen McManus and Darren O’Dea. Vata’s departure from CAA Base Agency proved unsuccessful.
The fact that Vata was not featured in the first team during a time when Celtic were lacking in attacking alternatives made it very evident that the player would be leaving the club. As a result of the fact that players such as Mikey Johnston, Marco Tilio, and Yang were not receiving games, it was highly improbable that Vata would ever come near to being involved with the first team. This is unfortunate because there is obviously a talented player in that position.
