Celtic
Former Celtic F.C legend Joe Hart’s exceptional assessment of Kasper Schmeichel will shock most fans with a powerful statement – revealed
As Celtic get ready to make their move, Joe Hart’s great review of Kasper Schmeichel is a must-read.
Tipsbladet in Denmark also said that his medical would happen this weekend. This means that he should be ready for the club’s trip to the US next week.
It’s clear that Celtic want to replace the retired goalkeeper with someone very close to Joe Hart. They didn’t pick someone younger who will stay with the Bhoys for a long time.
Brendan Rodgers has chosen players with a lot of knowledge and personality. He knows exactly what he’s getting in Schmeichel because they played together at Leicester City.
Joe Hart recently gave Schmeichel lots of great praise.
So it makes sense that Hart is a huge fan of his old partner. When they were younger, they played together at Manchester City. When asked by the BBC about the Dane’s performance at Euro 2024, the Celtic favorite made it clear that he still admires the fellow English Premier League winner.
He said, “His body and strength make him a good goalkeeper.” As an athlete, he became very good when he was young, and that hasn’t changed. A lot of other guards can’t do what he can do because he is mean and bossy.
“But besides his looks, I know that his mindset has been a big part of what he has done and how he has done it in his career.” Not many people can stay at the top for as long as he has without having a huge love for the game.
“We first played against each other, but Kasper and I quickly became teammates at City when I joined them a few months after that game at Gay Meadow. We got along right away.” From the beginning, we were always good friends and never competed with each other.
“Kasper was the first person to greet me when I got to City for the first time.” He was ready to take me into the building and was waiting for me. That meant a lot to me, so I’ll never forget it.
Joe Hart says that he is like Kasper Schmeichel.
In fact, Hart’s long BBC piece makes it clear that he sees a lot of similarities between himself and Schmeichel. The former Bhoys goalkeeper thinks that both of them work very hard.
He went on, “Another thing Kasper and I had in common from the beginning when we worked together at City was how hard we worked.”
“I never let my work rate drop or my attitude be questioned in football, no matter what happened, good or bad. And Kasper never gave anyone a chance to do that either.”
We both made it to the top level by age 37, which is likely one reason for that. But I never thought I was doing anything special, and I’m sure Kasper would say the same if you asked him.
It’s very interesting to read in light of Schmeichel’s upcoming move to the Bhoys.
Hart is looking forward to seeing his friend wear the number one jersey at Celtic and try to do as well as he did the last three seasons.
We all want him to be able to do that and still show that he can perform at a high level.
