Although it is not the competition that Lions fans anticipated for their players at this time of year, Detroit was notably represented during the inaugural evening of the Pro Bowl Games on Thursday.

Participants engaged in a succession of skill competitions in Orlando to inaugurate the league’s annual All-Star event.

Jared Goff distinguished himself during the evening by securing victory in the Passing the Test competition, which assessed throwing accuracy. Confronted with the challenge of striking a variety of targets, some of which were in motion, in a carnival-themed setting, Goff achieved a remarkable score of 44 points, surpassing the second-place quarterback, Sam Darnold, by a margin of five points.

Another member of the Lions to participate was centre Frank Ragnow, who engaged in The Big Spike, a competition designed to determine who could kick a football with the greatest force. His score of 856 ranked fourth-best out of six competitors.
