Latest transfer news on Jarrad Branthwaite, Ousmane Diomande as Newcastle United F.C 19-year-old target might be snatch up by Borussia Dortmund
This is the most recent transfer news from St. James Park. Newcastle United is getting ready for a busy summer transfer window.
As they look to improve their defense, Newcastle United is up against two teams that did very well in European competitions last season.
The Magpies have already signed Bournemouth back Lloyd Kelly on a free transfer. Kelly turned down several offers from clubs in the Premier League and other countries to join Newcastle and work with Eddie Howe again after leaving Cherries. But long-term injuries to club captain Jamaal Lascelles and center back Sven Botman last season mean that the two won’t be able to play until at least November. Because of this, United’s management knows they need to add another defender during the summer transfer window.
United is interested in making big moves for players like Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite, Crystal Palace and England star Marc Guehi, and Sporting CP’s highly rated center back Ousmane Diomande. All of these players will likely demand large fees to leave their present teams. Newcastle might be willing to make a big deal when the new profit and sustainability calculation time starts next week, but they probably won’t be able to sign any of the three players because they are all thought to have high-profile suitors.
United is looking elsewhere, and it is thought that they have been keeping an eye on the growth of Juventus young player Dean Huijsen over the past few months. This player, who plays for Spain’s Under-21 team, spent the second half of last season on loan at Roma. He impressed coach Daniele De Rossi by making 14 starts for his team as they finished sixth in Serie A and qualified for Europe.
“Huijsen is becoming more and more mature,” De Rossi said during the second half of the season. He does many things. He’s very smart. On the field, he doesn’t look 18 years old. He’s certainly clever. But sometimes it works too well. He is good with the ball in his hands, but he can be too calm at times. In his own box, I believe he needs to learn more “Italian tricks.” He will be one of the best players in the world if he does that.
Several clubs are thought to be thinking about making a move for the defender because Juventus is said to be willing to sell Huijsen and Matias Soule, who is also wanted by United. This would help Juventus’ chances of getting new players.
There has been a lot of talk about Newcastle’s interest in the 19-year-old over the last two months, but Borussia Dortmund, who lost the Champions League, and Atalanta, who won the Europa League, are also said to be interested.
It is said that a move to the latter is possible because Gazzetta Dello Sport says Juventus is thinking about giving the young defender to their Serie A foes as part of a deal to bring Teun Koopmeiners to the Allianz Stadium from Monaco. Reports say that Huijsen’s lawyers are ready to talk to the top people at Juventus. In the next two weeks, a decision will likely be made about his future.
