Leny Yoro gave his verdict on his Manchester United debut against Rangers on saturday friendlies (0-2)
Leny Yoro, a youngster, made an impressive debut for Manchester United against Rangers on Saturday, contributing to their 2-0 victory.
Leny Yoro stated that the Manchester United coaching staff assisted him in “feeling at ease” during his début, following his impressive performance in the 2-0 victory over Rangers at Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday.
The 18-year-old initiated the pre-season friendly victory over the Scottish powers less than 48 hours after completing his transfer from Lille to Old Trafford. He formed a defensive partnership with Jonny Evans and accrued 45 minutes of playing time.
The Frenchman was able to rely on Evans for guidance and support, and he distributed the ball effectively, making some exceptional passes. Additionally, he executed two exceptional defensive plays to assist United in maintaining a clean sheet.
Despite the pre-season caveats, the youngster’s initial outing was a positive one, as he trained with his new comrades for the first time on Friday. He found the experience to be enjoyable and expressed his appreciation for the assistance he received from the coaching staff and his teammates at United.
“Yes, of course, my teammates helped me a lot and the staff made me feel comfortable on the pitch,” Yoro indicated to MUTV. “We are together, so for me, it is very good.”
After it was confirmed on Saturday morning that Yoro had been included in the 26-man squad that had travelled north to the Scottish capital, virtually all of the pre-match attention was directed toward him.
He continued to reflect on his début, stating, “It was an extraordinary experience for me.” The team played exceptionally well, and I am exceedingly pleased with my performance. I trust that we will persevere in this manner.
United will proceed with their tour of the United States. On Wednesday, they will depart and prepare for matches against Liverpool, Arsenal, and Real Betis.
“Of course, we go to America on Wednesday and we will have three competitive games,” Yoro emphasized. “The fans will be there, I know, and the team will give everything to win those games.”
