Manchester United 25-year-old Midfielder Mason Mount break silence and send out a message to the football world after scoring his first goal since he came to Man United
Get fit again Erik ten Hag brought Mount off the bench for the last 20 minutes, and his goal well into extra time looked like it gave United the win. Brentford, on the other hand, shot right back at the Gtech Community Stadium to get a point.
Kristoffer Ajer seized that goal, preventing 25-year-old Mount from making his mark with a winning shot. Still, it was a big moment for the England player, who put his injury and form problems behind him to send a message to anyone who was still not sure.
After the game was over, Mount was very busy on Instagram. He added two photos to his story. On the second one, the attacking midfielder was seen putting his hands over his ears, likely to silence any doubters, as he made his way to the corner to celebrate with happy United fans who had travelled.
The player who used to play for Chelsea scored his first goal for Manchester United in their 1-1 draw at Brentford. He cost the club £60 million last summer.
Since Mason Mount finally scored for Manchester United, he sent a message to those who did not like him. The former Chelsea player got his first goal for United on Saturday night, and it was a dramatic one. He moved to Old Trafford for £60 million last summer.
Ajer scored from a set piece, which took away from the good mood, but Mount will be looking to build on his first goal for the club. So far this season, he has only played in 14 games across all tournaments for United. In September, against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup, he set up a goal.
Mount shared another two pictures to his main profile along with a short message thanking United fans. “Mixed feelings, but I’m proud to celebrate scoring my first goal for this club,” it said.
“We’ll keep working to end the season on a high note.” “Thank you for all your help.”
