Man Utd will now permit a £200,000-per-week player to depart following a ten-hour U-turn. Football Insider has disclosed that Manchester

United are prepared to consider loan proposals for Antony during the January transfer window, following his unsuccessful commencement of his third season at Old Trafford. The 24-year-old is reportedly no longer a component of Erik ten Hag’s plans in Manchester, and the club hierarchy is now eager to eliminate his £200,000-per-week wages from their records. Antony’s announcement follows allegations that suggested he was considering a return to Ajax, where he had previously achieved success in the Eredivisie before joining United in 2022. Nevertheless, the Amsterdam-based club is uncertain about whether to pursue a transfer for the Brazilian, who has experienced a challenging season at Old Trafford and has declined significantly in the pecking order this season, according to the Dutch outlet De Telegraaf. Man United appears to be delineating plans for Antony’s loan departure in 2025, as he was linked with a move away from United throughout the summer.

Man United is amenable to incorporating a buy-back option into any provisional agreement with Antony, as reported by Football Insider. However, a substantial portion of his wages would need to be covered. In response to inquiries regarding Antony’s circumstances at United last month, Ten Hag maintained that the 24-year-old was required to exert additional effort in order to increase his playing time. Antony, who cost an astonishing £86m two years ago, was one of the Dutchman’s initial acquisitions at Old Trafford. However, this season, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad Diallo were selected ahead of him. This season, the 24-year-old has only appeared in the Premier League twice, both of which were as a substitute. Antony’s sole appearance of the season was in the EFL Cup, where he scored in Manchester United’s 7-0 victory over Barnsley of League One.
