Reason Why 26 years-old Manchester United player Aaron Wan-Bissaka started at left-back for Manchester United vs Tottenham
The right-back position For the first time in his career, Aaron Wan-Bissaka started at left defender for Manchester United in their match against Tottenham, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Only on the morning of the match did Aaron Wan-Bissaka find out that he would be starting for Manchester United for their encounter versus Tottenham.
Luke Shaw was supposed to start at left back for United in preparation for the match; however, Shaw decided not to participate in the selection process because he was not totally fit for the match.
The right-back position Wan-Bissaka started at left back for the first time in his career, and Diogo Dalot, who has frequently swapped to the left side of the field when Shaw is not available, continued to play in the right back position.
On Monday, when we were playing Wigan, he started for a portion of the game. We were anticipating Luke Shaw, and we had been training with him in preparation for this game; but, he decided not to participate this morning because he was not in good enough shape to start.
After that, we had to make a significant amount of adjustments in order to return to what we had trained in and what was our game plan. It was determined that Azza would be placed on the left side, while Diogo would remain on the right side.
Despite the fact that Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford scored in the same game for the first time, United have only won one of the five games in which Hojlund has scored.
Rashford scored his first goal at Old Trafford since May to help United recover their lead five minutes before halftime against Spurs. Hojlund is now United’s all-time leading scorer with a modest seven goals, while Rashford scored his first goal at Old Trafford since May.
The words “I hope they keep going, there’s progress,” were spoken by Ten Hag in reference to Hojlund and Rashford. “As you can see, they are working on developing some routines, and you are in need of those routines. You need it everywhere, but especially on the frontline, where there are confined spaces and where a snap choice needs to be taken in a split second. It is essential that they are in that position, and you require their intuition.
When your front players are not scoring, it is going to the entire team, which makes everyone feel nervous. I believe that this is something that should be considered for every squad. Beginning with the front players because they are more hungry to play when they are not scoring, and they play with less confidence when they are not succeeding.
In terms of defense, however, they are aware that any goal that we give up is an issue. “We are aware that if you put out Garnacho, Hojlund, and Rashford, and then at the back, you have Fernandes and Eriksen, then it must be a threat.”
