In the first half, Harry Maguire was booked for a tackle on Sasa Lukic, but he didn’t have to do anything after the game.

The Video Assistant Referee looked at Harry Maguire’s hit on Fulham midfielder Sasa Lukic and cleared it. This happened during Fulham’s dramatic 2-1 win at Old Trafford on Saturday.

According to SportUpdate, the VAR looked into what happened with the center back and decided that it was just foot-on-foot contact. Referee Michael Oliver did not make a clear and obvious mistake.

At the 10 minute mark before halftime, the 30-year-old hung his right leg out to block a pass from Lukic, which knocked the Serbian player to the ground. Maguire only got a yellow card, and after Stockley Park checked him, there was no need for anything else to happen.

Both teams had chances at Old Trafford; Angel Di Maria and Harry Maguire came close for Manchester United. It was Marco Silva’s team, though, that took the lead when Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey hit a shot off the post and into the roof of the net.

Maguire tied the game late by taking advantage of Bernd Leno’s mistake after the German saved Bruno Fernandes’ shot. The home team almost made a full comeback, but Alex Iwobi scored the game-winning goal in the seventh minute of extra time.

United was in great shape going into the game against Fulham. Omari Forson, 19, was picked to start over Antony by Erik ten Hag for his first Premier League game, but he was taken off after 53 minutes.
