Newcastle United
“Thank you” – Newcastle United F.C player Bruno Guimaraes sends out a heartfelt message after exit from the club confirmed and sealed
A communication has been issued by Bruno Guimaraes in response to the significant news that has emerged from Newcastle United this week.
Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi, Newcastle’s co-owners, will be departing the football club. The couple were instrumental in the takeover process that was ultimately concluded in October 2021 and have played a significant role behind the scenes.
The confirmation of their departure follows the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and RB Sports & Media’s repeated investments, which have resulted in Staveley’s share price decreasing from 10% to 5.7% since the takeover. PIF and RB Sports & Media will each increase their stake to 85% and 15%, respectively, while the remaining co-owners will assume the remaining share.
In January 2022, Guimaraes was one of the most significant acquisitions of the inaugural transfer window under the new ownership. Guimaraes has become a fan favorite at St James’ Park and one of Newcastle’s finest players in the modern era since his £40 million arrival from Lyon.
He has scored 17 goals in 107 appearances for the club.
And in response to the news of Staveley and Ghodoussi’s departure, Guimaraes used Instagram to express his gratitude to the duo.
Guimaraes expressed his sorrow at the news, expressing his gratitude to both individuals for their contributions to the club. “I continue to harbor doubts regarding its validity.”
“I am grateful for your encouragement to join the club and wish you the best of luck in the future.” I will always be grateful to @amandastaveley and @mehrdadghodoussi.
As a result of his participation in the Copa America with Brazil, Guimaraes will be granted a vacation prior to his return to pre-season training. Newcastle’s players resumed their training sessions this week. Guimaraes participated in each of his nation’s matches until they were eliminated by Uruguay on penalties in the quarterfinals.
