After Manchester City tied 1-1 on Sunday, Liverpool thought they should have been given a penalty late in the game.

Liverpool and Manchester City played to a 1-1 draw at Anfield on Sunday. Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, was sure that his team should have been given a penalty in the last second.

After Alexis Mac Allister’s penalty tied the game again, Liverpool took over for a lot of the second half. The City players and boss Pep Guardiola had a lot to think about after this. John Stones scored from a corner kick in the middle of the first half to give City a 1-0 lead.

After Mac Allister’s goal in the 50th minute, Liverpool felt good. As the extra time wore on, they were hungry for more and thought they should have been given a second penalty late in the game. There were protests from the home team, but on-field judge Michael Oliver didn’t listen. VAR Stuart Atwell then looked closely at the ruling. It looked like Mac Allister was hit in the chest by Jeremy Doku.

Some people believe that Doku challenged the ball while he was in a “reasonable” place. Klopp and all the other Liverpool fans at Anfield were sure that there should be a penalty. Gary Neville, a co-commentator on Sky Sports at the time, said he thought the decision might go Liverpool’s way.

There was a tie at the end of the game because Atwell agreed with Oliver’s call on the field. Klopp was very angry about the decision and slammed it after the game.

Klopp told BBC Sport, “There was no doubt about it.” “They’ll find a reason.” Most likely, the player should get a yellow card because it was a foul all over the field.

“The iPad users around me all said, ‘Wow, clear.'” They might be able to hide by saying “it’s not clear and obvious.”

“It’s a fine, but we didn’t get it, so that’s okay.” The fact that we can play football is the most important thing to me. I saw a lot of great things today.
