22 years-old Bologna FC Forward is now available for Newcastle United for their transfer plans to take effect

Newcastle United will need to buy a new forward this summer, and a player they were interested in in January will be free to join them.

There have already been rumors that the Magpies will be looking to sign an attacker before the 2024–25 season. They had a rough January transfer window.

Due to rules about making a profit and staying in business, Newcastle couldn’t make any big deals. However, a lot of players were linked with moves to St. James’ Park.

Of those, Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna was one. He has scored nine goals and set up six others across all games this season. The 22-year-old was named as a player Newcastle wants to sign. It will be interesting to see if the club is still interested in him in the summer before next season.

It is said by Calciomercato that the 22-year-old will be leaving Bologna at the end of this season.

The report says that Bayern Munich can buy back the Dutch Under-21 star for £34 million after selling him to the Italian team in August 2022. But if another club wants Zirkzee, they will have to pay a lot more.

Calciomercato also say that Manchester United has asked for details about him, but Eddie Howe’s team isn’t mentioned in this case.

But Newcastle is going to try to find a player like Zirkzee. Also, he is still very young and has a lot of promise. The Magpies may be looking for someone to replace Callum Wilson. He was mentioned with a move away in January, and it is said that he isn’t sure what he will do on Tyneside for next season.
