This is what Mikel Arteta had to say about Gabriel Jesus’s health. He is doubtful for Arsenal’s game against Liverpool because of a knee injury, and Thomas Partey has also been hurt.

As of now, Mikel Arteta knows if Gabriel Jesus and Thomas Partey are healthy enough to play in Arsenal’s Premier League match against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The Brazilian was very important on Tuesday night as he scored a goal and set up another in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest. Arteta did say, though, that Jesus had been able to play despite having a knee problem after the game.

“Gabi started to win the game two days ago,” the Spanish player said at the press conference after the game. Everyone was trying to keep him safe by telling him not to go outside because he hurt his knee. But he kept saying, “game day two, game day one, I want to be there, I want to help the team win the game.” Things will go well for you when you think that way. I’m very happy with him.”

Jesus missed the beginning of the season because he had surgery on the same knee that kept him out for four months during his first season with Arsenal. He’s had trouble with it all season, and Arteta said he wasn’t sure if the 26-year-old would be able to make Sunday’s match at the top of the table after playing at the City Ground.

“I don’t know,” Arteta replied. “In the last game [against Crystal Palace], he took a lot of hits.” His knee hurt, and it’s the knee that had surgery before. He was really upbeat, he feels great, and he trained really hard. The way he played tonight didn’t surprise me.

Then again, Arteta said that Jesus might be able to play on Sunday. He told the press before the game, “Gabi played and trained with us all week.”

Partey, on the other hand, has less good news. After missing more than three months with a leg injury, he was hoping to make his return. However, Arteta said that the Ghanaian will be out for a while longer.

“With Thomas unfortunately we had a little setback a few days ago,” he stated. “He will not be able to join the squad.” We’ll check to see if it’s just a few days or weeks. He did have a little thing, though.

“I’m not a doctor, but he felt something in a very similar area and he wasn’t able to train the last few days.”

It’s a long-term worry for Arteta that Partey has only played 15 minutes of football since August, Arteta said.

“A big worry because he’s such an important player for us,” He was on the rise at the beginning of the season, but we lost him for a while. It’s been a long time since we saw him.

“He brings something new to the team that no one else does, so we will miss him.”

“They were hurt in different ways, but not everything is bad luck.” There are lots of things that are hard to handle. The player has also had problems in the past, so we need to do everything we can to keep him safe.

On the other hand, Mohamed Elneny will be able to join the Arsenal team again after Egypt was kicked out of the African Cup of Nations. Jurrien Timber and Fabio Vieira are still out for a long time, and Takehiro Tomiyasu is still with Japan at the Asian Cup.
