Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola finally speaks up and fires Kevin De Bruyne “improper angry behaviour” after Man City substitution vs Liverpool
Pep Guardiola, the boss of Manchester City, talked about taking Kevin De Bruyne off the field against Liverpool when the game was still close.
While Kevin De Bruyne was talking about why he thought the changes saved Manchester City a point against Liverpool, Pep Guardiola said that Kevin De Bruyne was happy with the game when it was over.
Following Liverpool’s goal, Guardiola made a big change by bringing on Jeremy Doku and Mateo Kovacic for Kevin De Bruyne and Julian Alvarez. This put a lot of pressure on City. In the second half, City gave away a very easy penalty, and the team was already under a lot of stress. In particular, De Bruyne was furious about being told to leave the field, and he got into a verbal fight with Guardiola and his helpers on the sidelines. After a while, the boss came over to talk to him again.
For some reason, the Blues got better after the changes took place. In the middle of the field, Kovacic gave City more control, and on the left side of the field, Doku gave them more ways to get the ball. Guardiola will not hesitate to take De Bruyne off the team if he thinks that doing so is best for the team, no matter how much he admires the way he thinks.
Now that he’s happy. Guardiola said, “There is no problem.” “I think it looks good. It’s a good sign when he’s mad.
The reason I made the choice was because I knew what we were missing. The problem was that we couldn’t keep the ball when he, Bernardo Silva, and John Stones were on the field. After that, we were able to get it done better. What am I going to say about Kevin? What we need is it, and we need him, and it is very important.
“The place is hard to get to, but he made an effort to do so.” He was very active in all of the transitions, shots, and corners that were taken in the first half. We’re aware of it. I felt like we didn’t have control of the game after we gave up the goal in the second half, so I tried to come up with something that might help us get back in it. At most, this was the idea that was being talked about.
