Despite my every endeavor to entice him to Saudi Arabia, Still, he opted for Arsenal’s: Cristiano Ronaldo has been verified. His £80 million international teammate has reached an agreement to transfer to Arsenal in January from Al Nassr.Record, a Portuguese publication, reports that Arsenal have been monitoring Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres closely in preparation for a prospective approach (page 14).The Swedish international performed admirably for Coventry City in the Championship during the previous season. His 50 appearances yielded 12 assists and 22 goals.

A prospective transfer to the Premier League was a topic of discussion during the summer. However, Sporting ultimately prevailed in the race to acquire him for €20 million plus add-ons.

According to recent reports, the Gunners have conducted multiple scouting missions on him this season and are currently contemplating the possibility of obtaining his signature.Sporting, on the other hand, have made it abundantly plain that they do not wish to lose him in January, barring a club willing to exercise the €100 million release clause in his contract.

Arsenal is reportedly considering an unexpected approach for Gyokeres.

The 25-year-old was linked with a transfer to Luton Town in the Premier League last summer, following Coventry’s failure to advance to the top tier through the play-offs.

The English club with the greatest interest in the Swede was West Ham United; however, he elected to join Sporting, who are presently first in the Primeira Liga.

In just 17 appearances, Gyokeres has been indispensable for the club with 15 goals and seven assists; therefore, Arsenal’s attention is not unexpected.

The Gunners have already expressed interest in compatriot Ousmane Diomande; however, due to Sporting’s refusal to negotiate in January, any agreement may be postponed until the summer.

A move for Diomande, a 19-year-old center-back with enormous potential, seems justifiable, but we believe Arsenal could pursue superior strikers instead of Gyokeres.

While Gyokeres might be a suitable acquisition for a Premier League club in the middle of the standings, if Arsenal want to win championships, they should set their sights higher and sign a player like Victor Osimhen.
