“Agreement is in place” – Napoli player Victor Osimhen to move to Manchester United this summer – Reports
EriK ten Hag wants to add to Manchester United’s team, so the team is busy making summer transfers. After a season that almost cost him his job, the Dutchman knows he needs support.
After finishing eighth in the Premier League, Manchester United saved their season by beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final. At Old Trafford in 2024–25, that meant playing in Europe, and Ten Hag would stay as manager.
“Conte confirms Osimhen agreement”
Manchester United wants to move forward with their plans to sign midfielder Manuel Ugarte, and its rumored target Victor Osimhen is almost certainly going to leave Napoli.
Osimhen, a star player for Napoli, has been linked with Arsenal for a long time. Last summer, the player and Harry Kane were said to be on the club’s watchlist, but Ten Hag decided to spend £72 million on Rasmus Hojlund instead. Meanwhile, Antonio Conte, the new manager of Napoli, has announced that he will be leaving the Italian club.
The Italian man said at his unveiling, “As far as Osimhen is concerned, just as I knew very well about the situation of Kvara, Di Lorenzo, Anguissa, and Lobotka, I have put an absolute veto on it.”
“Nonetheless, I am aware of what is happening with Osimhen.” I’m aware that there are agreements and that this is not like any other case. I simply can help. Although he is an incredibly good player, I can’t talk about it because it’s against the terms of past agreements that have been made clear to me.
