Breaking News: Celtic Fc head coach Brendan Rodgers fires Celtic red card brutal warning ahead of Lazio as they bid to keep Euro hopes alive
Ahead of their match against Lazio, Brendan Rodgers issues a red card warning to Celtic. In order for his squad to maintain any remaining European aspirations beyond the holiday season, Celtic must avoid seeing red cards against Lazio.
With only one point accumulated from their first four Champions League matches, the Hoops must secure a victory at the Stadio Olimpico and hope that Feyenoord fails to defeat Atletico Madrid in order to have a realistic chance of advancing to European knockout football in their final match against the Dutch side.
Celtic’s situation has not been improved by the three players who have been dismissed in their two away contests: Odin Thiago Holm, Gustaf Lagerbielke, and Daizen Maeda in the first half of their 6-0 rout in Madrid. Rodgers is adamant that such disobedience must never reoccur in Rome.”At this level, that is a significant request. We are concerned with retaining our players on the field, performing at the level of football that we are capable of and have demonstrated, and with any luck, securing openings in the game.
“What matters most to us is that we have eleven men on the field,” he stated. “During our two away games, we were reduced to nine men before regaining ten.””I believe we learned throughout the competition, against Lazio and the other teams, that we are capable of competing effectively when the score is 11 versus 11.”
Since defeating Anderlecht 3-0 in the Champions League away game over six years ago, Celtic have not emerged victorious. However, Rodgers remains optimistic that his squad can secure the necessary victory in the capital of Italy. He continued, “With two games remaining, we are cognizant of our actions.” We are committed to exerting maximum effort in order to secure the necessary victories.”It is extremely thrilling, and I am looking forward to seeing us perform. We are aware that in order to achieve the desired outcome, we must exert an enormous amount of effort.
“The reason you play football is to experience the finest stadiums and atmospheres. I anticipated the same incredible atmosphere this time around as it was the last time I was here.
