In October of 2020, Amad made the move from Atalanta to Manchester United; however, he has only appeared in ten matches for the club.

Beyond the end of the transfer season in January, Manchester United intends to continue to hold on to Amad.

According to United, Facundo Pellistri is expected to join Granada on loan, and the club believes that Amad has a significant part to play in the team.

When United was defeated by Nottingham Forest by a score of 2-1 on January 30, Amad, who is 21 years old, had his first debut for the club in almost two years as a replacement play.

As a result of illness, the Ivory Coast international was unable to participate in the FA Cup third round victory against Wigan Athletic. However, he may be able to make his return to the squad for the fourth round match against Newport County the following week.

During the transfer deadline day in October 2020, United acquired Amad from Atalanta for a fee of £19 million, which was later increased to £37 million. Since then, the winger has appeared ten times for the club.

At the end of the 2021-22 season, Amad was loaned to Rangers for the second half of the season. During the previous season, he was loaned to Sunderland for the entire season. While playing for Sunderland in the Championship, Amad scored 14 goals in 42 appearances, which helped the team get to the play-offs.

It was originally planned for Pellistri to depart on loan during the summer, but he ended up staying with United instead. This was due to the fact that Amad suffered a knee injury during the preseason match against Arsenal in July.

Amad made his return to training at the beginning of December, and he displayed a commendable performance off the bench during the match against Forest.
