Manchester City got the Brazilian star player before Arsenal and Spurs did.

Spurs and Arsenal were both interested in signing Savio, but the Brazilian superstar has now agreed to join Manchester City this summer, beating out the London teams.

The deal was revealed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on the social media site X, just as Pep Guardiola’s team got ready to play Brentford in the Premier League on Monday night. Romeo wrote, “Manchester City has agreed to buy Savio from his home club Girona in the summer.” Things that need to be signed in the next few days.

Bundesliga and English teams made bids, but Savio will join #MCFC instead. Now, his only thought is on Girona to finish the season in the best way possible.

The 19-year-old is on loan at Girona from his parent club Troyes. The price for him has not been revealed, but it was said that the Ligue 2 team would want around £25 million for the highly-rated player. But Manchester City might be able to get a better deal because both Girona and Troyes are owned by the City Football Group. TeamTalk had previously talked about a £10 million deal.

In January, the forward was linked with moves to Arsenal and Tottenham. Real Madrid and “several” Bundesliga clubs were also said to be interested in the young player. He will be at the Etihad Stadium with Ederson and Matheus Nunes, both from Brazil.

Speaking before, Savio said, “My goal is to play for Manchester City.” When I was signed, I think my goal was always to get to Man City, and I’m still working toward that.If I ever get to Manchester City, you can be sure that I did a good job at Girona, which is what I’m doing now.

This season, Savio played in 27 games across all categories for Girona, a team that came as a surprise. He scored seven goals and set up seven others. In his youth, the player played for Atletico Madrid and has also played for the Brazil under-20 national team.
