Ben Rodgers hopes that Cameron Carter-Vickers won’t have to miss any more time with an illness.

The central defender has been hurting muscles all season, and he has only played three times in his last stretch.

He helped the team win when he came off the bench against Motherwell. He scored in the 7-1 win over Dundee and played the whole game against Hearts last week.

There were no signs of trouble at Friday’s press conference, but when the Celtic team to play Livingston was named, Stephen Welsh was paired with Liam Scales in central defense.

Celtic Fc manager Brendan Rodgers a terrible Celtic injury update that all fans should be worried about!

Hearing Rodgers talk to BBC Sportsound before the game According to The Sun, the Celtic manager said:

It’s just a safety measure. He was supposed to start yesterday, but he only did a light workout because he felt something in his leg. We didn’t want to put him at risk, and we hope it’s not something big.

Welshy can enter the game. He has played in important games for us before, so we hope he does well.

Gus Lagerbielke was one of the replacements as Celtic worked hard to beat Livingston 4–2. Maik Nawrocki was also hurt.

Poor defense let Davie Martindale’s team tie the game twice, but it wasn’t until Daizen Maeda scored his third goal in the 86th minute that the home team was out of the game.

Kyogo Furuhashi, a replacement, scored Celtic’s fourth goal just before the end of the game. He beat the VAR check.

Celtic play St. Johnstone at home next week, and Carter-Vickers has to make a big choice about whether he plays or takes a two-week break before the away game on Livingston’s plastic pitch on March 31 and the important trip to Ibrox the following week.

Callum McGregor is said to be out for the rest of the season because he hurt his leg and Achilles.

According to the Daily Record, McGregor will not be able to heal from his injury in time to play again this season. This is despite Brendan Rodgers’ earlier statement that the Celtic captain might be back soon after the international break.

There will be a big hole in the club without McGregor because he is a leader on and off the field and is without a doubt the consummate professional.

The trip to Ibrox on April 7th won’t make things any easy for Celtic. McGregor’s knowledge of Glasgow derbies will be lost a lot.

He has done a great job as captain of Celtic since Ange Postecoglou made him captain during the off-season in 2021.

McGregor also moved lower on the field to play as a holding midfielder. His drive and determination have helped the Hoops win games when it looked like they would not win.
