In the summer, Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Celtic, will want to make some changes to his team.

When the January market opened, the Irish manager got rid of players like David Turnbull, Mikey Johnston, and Hyeokkyu Kwon. But the last two will go back to Lennoxtown when their loan terms are up.

Still, changes are coming to a group of names that you may recognize. Joe Hart will be leaving the club for good because he has chosen to stop playing football at the end of this season.

Some names have come up in the media as possible replacements for the Englishman. These include RC Waalwijk goalie Ettiene Vaessen and Trabzonspor stopper Ugurcan Cakir. However, it’s important to note that these are just rumors at this point.

Paulo Bernardo’s position got some attention last weekend because of his amazing goal away to Livingston. He is on loan from another team.

Since coming from Benfica last year, the Portugal Under-21 player has shown signs of his promise. No matter what, it’s still unclear if Celtic will use his buyout option, which is thought to be worth around £6.4 million.

Adam Idah is another player whose future at the Hoops isn’t clear to the public. He helped set up Matt O’Riley’s goal against the Lions in the 82nd minute.

Celtic compete with three teams from the Premier League to sign Jake Clarke-Salter.

The Sun says that Crystal Palace, Burnley, and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all in the running with Celtic to sign Queens Park Rangers back Jake Clarke-Salter.

Ipswich Town, a team in the Sky Bet Championship that could get promoted to the English Premier League this season, is also interested in the 26-year-old.

Clarke-Salter has played 29 league games for QPR this season and scored one goal [Transfermarkt]. He has been capped 12 times by England at the Under-21 level.

He is currently under contract at Loftus Road until 2026 and used to play for Chelsea’s school. It is not clear how much Celtic would have to pay to get him to leave West London.

Clarke-Salter has been great in the English second division this season, making a strong base for QPR and averaging 2.1 tackles won, 4.3 clearances, and 4.1 ball recoveries per league match [Sofascore].
