“I’m upset, shocked, and sad” Former Manchester United Midfielder Paul Pogba speaks out and sends an emotional sad message about his four-year doping ban from football
Paul Pogba delivered an emotional speech after being suspended from the sport of football for a period of four years.
Paul Pogba issued an emotional message after learning that he will be unable to play football for the next four years until he recovers from his injury. Those who emerge victorious in the 2018 World Cup will have the opportunity to present their case before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
“I was told today of the Tribunale Nazionale Antidoping’s decision, and I think it is wrong,” Pogba stated, rather than accepting the ban. “I think it is wrong.”
The fact that everything I had labored so diligently to acquire over the course of my professional playing career has been taken away from me is a source of great distress to me.
“When I’m not limited by the law, the whole story will become clear, but I have never purposely or knowingly taken any supplements that break anti-doping rules.”
“As a professional athlete, I would never use illegal drugs to improve my performance, and I have never cheated or disrespected other athletes or fans of any team I have played for or against.”
“Because of the decision that was made today, I will take this to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.”
After Juventus’ first game of the season, which was a Serie A match against Udinese, Pogba tested positive for testosterone. This is the reason why this particular circumstance occurred. The legal team representing Pogba stated that they believed the player had accidently consumed the chemical that resulted in the failing test.
A severe sentence was handed down to the football player after the officials reached a verdict that was against Pogba’s legal team. The fact that Pogba has already stated that he intends to take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport demonstrates that he is not willing to give up that easy.
Following a difficult period at Manchester United, Pogba had returned to his former club, Juventus, in an effort to begin his career from the beginning. A world record fee of 93.2 million pounds was exchanged for Pogba’s transfer to the Premier League squad in 2013. Despite this, he exited Old Trafford only six years after signing the contract of employment there.
When he returned to Turin, however, he found that things were not going so well for him. Following his free transfer to Juventus in the summer of 2022, Pogba signed a contract with the club that would last for four years; however, due to injuries, he has only played a total of twelve times for the club. Since Pogba has been banned from the sport of football, his time with Juventus and possibly even his career as a football player has come to an end. Pogba has an impressive 91 caps for France.
