A striker with 29 years of experience is poised to join Manchester United on a one-year contract; the necessary paperwork is

due tonight, and the announcement is scheduled for tomorrow morning.Les Bons Conceil Du Sports editor Seb Ecrivain Foot reports that Manchester United is in negotiations with Bundesliga club Bayern Munich in an effort to acquire Cameroonian international striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting on loan until the end of the season.Due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) restrictions, it is unlikely that the Red Devils will finalize any permanent deals this month; consequently, they are currently searching the loan market for quality acquisitions.

They have been monitoring Choupo-Moting’s predicament for the past few weeks and are now anticipated to make an offer to the player and the club to solidify their interest. The French journalist had previously speculated in an article for the social media platform X (previously referred to as Twitter) that the transaction is likely to be finalized, and negotiations are advancing as Manchester United seek to strengthen their offensive capabilities.

Since the summer acquisition of Harry Kane, Choupo-Moting has been benched at Bayern and has started only four of his twenty appearances this season.

Three goals have been scored thus far this season by the 34-year-old, who scored ten goals in 19 league games during the previous campaign.

Although he does not appear to be the permanent solution to the Old Trafford club’s goalscoring problems, a brief agreement could be advantageous for both entities.

The former Paris Saint-Germain forward has won three Bundesliga titles and two Ligue 1 titles in the last five seasons. With 17 goals in 30 games across all competitions at the conclusion of the previous season, he could prove to be an asset on loan.

Due to his strength, dribbling, and ability to retain the ball, the 6ft 3in forward is a respectable finisher who could be a menace to opposing defenses. While Manchester United supporters would be concerned that he becomes another Wayne Weghorst, Choupo-Moting’s desperation to prove himself in the Premier League following his time with Stoke City could cause him to surpass expectations.
