Manchester United 21 years-old Forward Rasmus Hojlund to Move to a LaLiga this next transfer window
Rasmus Hojlund has already made it very obvious how he feels about the possibility of being transferred from Manchester United to Real Madrid.
According to reports, Hojlund, a Danish international player, made the move from Atalanta, a club in Serie A, to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window. The transfer cost was reportedly around 72 million pounds.
At the beginning of the 23/24 season, the 21-year-old player had a difficult time adjusting to life in the Premier League environment.
In December, more than four months after joining United, Hojlund eventually scored his first goal in the league, which came in the form of a dramatic 3-2 victory over Aston Villa.
As he begins to establish his footing at the club, Hojlund has already made 29 appearances across all competitions, during which he has scored 11 goals and assisted on two more.
Due to his recent strong performance, there have been rumors that he could be making a surprise move to Madrid, which is a giant in the Spanish La Liga.
Juni Calafat, Madrid’s head scout, was reportedly given the responsibility of scouting Hojlund during the past few months, as reported by the Spanish news outlet DefensaCentral.
On the other hand, it would appear that the striker has made his feelings over any possible transfers away from United quite clear.
Hojlund was quoted as saying the following to a Danish television station in August, as reported by The Sun: “It’s about dreaming big and daring to dream big.” In that case, you will not be able to do what you set out to do.
To say that everything has just come together with me and Manchester United is an understatement. It is not often that you receive everything in one comprehensive bundle. It is a match made in heaven.”
As an additional point of interest, he stated, “At the moment, the club is going through a process, and I would very much like to be a part of it.”
“This is also the reason why I have decided to come here now; I believe that I will be able to develop alongside the club, and I am hopeful that we will be able to win a lot of trophies together.”
“I think that Rasmus at ten would probably be “buzzing,” as they say over here in England,” Hojlund said in response to a question about when he first became a fan of the Red Devils.
“He has established a goal for himself, and I have endeavored to achieve that goal.”
