Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes send three-word comment to Kobbie Mainoo after England debut vs Brazil
Bruno Fernandes, captain of Manchester United, talked about Kobbie Mainoo’s first game for England against Brazil on Saturday.
Bruno Fernandes said that Kobbie Mainoo’s first game for England was the “first of many.”
The midfielder from Manchester United came on as a replacement for England in their friendly match against Brazil on Saturday at Wembley Stadium. Endrick, a Brazilian star player who is 17 years old, scored in the 80th minute to beat England for the first time since the 2022 World Cup.
No matter how badly England lost, Mainoo was still very happy. He only made his senior Man United start in November. The 18-year-old said that playing for his country for the first time was a “special feeling.”
“It was a great feeling to play my first senior game for England at Wembley in front of my family.” Something I’ll never forget. “Now we’ll get back on track for Tuesday,” he wrote on Instagram, adding a red heart emoji.
Also, Fernandes wrote below the post, “First of many.” Other Manchester United players have also said something. Luke Shaw said, “What a player,” and Harry Maguire said, “Deserved mate.” It was Alejandro Garnacho who wrote, “What a guy.”
Mainoo’s next chance to show what he can do for England will be on Tuesday when they play Belgium. The central midfielder was first called up to the England U-21 team, but Gareth Southgate decided to play him in the games against Brazil and Belgium as a full England player.
