REVEALED: What happened between Kyle Walker and Neal Maupay of Brentford that they furiously exchange words during Brentford vs Manchester City match (1-3)
Kyle Walker said that Neal Maupay said something to him that made them fight on the field during Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Brentford. A trained lip reader has now confirmed what Walker said.
In the last few minutes of the game, they got into a heated argument. Walker went to fourth official Stuart Attwell to report the event.
But when asked about it after the game, neither Pep Guardiola nor Thomas Frank said anything. Guardiola simply said, “Next question.”
That has made it a little harder to figure out what really happened, and Walker and Maupay haven’t said anything either.
Now, expert witness and forensic lip-reader Jeremy Freeman told the Daily Mail what he thought Walker said Maupay said to him, though no one involved in the event has yet to confirm what Walker said.
What Freeman says Walker walked up to Attwell and yelled, “I’m going to knock him out!”
He is said to have said, “Wait there,” pointed to the hallway, and then walked back over to referee Jarred Gillet.
Freeman says Walker then told him, “Ref, he talked about my kids. He talked about my kids not once, but twice.”
Then Maupay is said to have said, “I didn’t, it’s okay.”
Then Gillet said, “Everyone, please calm down and listen to me. Think about it, think about it.”
But Maupay said, “I promise you that’s not true and it’s not fair.”
