Romano affirms omission A Manchester United player will undergo a medical examination within the next twenty-four hours, and the club stands to lose £27 million on the deal. After the next twenty-four hours, Donny van de Beek will undertake his medical examination prior to finalizing his loan transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt.

The midfielder is nearing the realization of his long-awaited transfer, albeit if it is only for the remainder of the 2023–24 season.During the current campaign, Van de Beek has made a combined 21 minutes of appearances across all competitions via two cameo appearances—one in the Carabao Cup and one in the Premier League. On certain occasions, he has been granted the opportunity to observe from the sidelines as a substitute, but on the majority of the time, he has been utterly excluded from the squad. His limited playing time has likely not surprised supporters, as this has been the case not only since he signed in 2020 but also throughout the previous season and the summer, when Erik ten Hag made it obvious that Van de Beek was not in his plans. Nevertheless, during the transfer window, the player rejected interest from other clubs and chose to remain at Old Trafford.

Now that he has gained the painful realization that his circumstances are unlikely to improve in the near future, the Dutch international is eager to put his abilities to the test elsewhere by joining the Bundesliga.

van de Beek approaches United’s departure.Fabrizio Romano asserts that the financing agreement will be executed this week contingent upon Van de Beek’s successful completion of the mandatory medical examinations. Although not obligatory, the clauses do stipulate a buy option worth €15 million (£13 million) (including add-ons), which would allow him to return to Old Trafford in June 2024.

United stands to lose £27 million should he ultimately join Frankfurt, following the payment of a £40 million package for him three years ago.
