After having their request for ticket allotment for the Scottish Cup semi-final match versus Celtic denied, Aberdeen has issued a statement, expressing their disappointment.

Earlier, we mentioned that the SFA has set a date and time for the match that will take place the following month. It has been decided that the match will take place on April 20 at 12:30 p.m., and Aberdeen has been informed that they would receive a far lower allocation than the fifty percent that they had asked from the national association.

We also mentioned that Aberdeen defender Angus MacDonald had anticipated receiving a 50/50 allocation, so it appears that he will also be dissatisfied with the outcome.

As a result of the fact that the Pittodrie club was provided with 19,000 tickets for the semi-final, the team that is in danger of being relegated issued a statement this afternoon.

The statement that was released by Aberdeen Football Club stated as follows: “The Club requested the opportunity to sell up to fifty percent of the tickets, with any tickets that were not sold by a predetermined date being distributed to our competitors.”

“It is with great disappointment that I must inform you that this has once again been rejected, principally on the basis of previous ticket sales at this stage of the tournament.

“As a consequence of this, the allocation for Aberdeen for this match will be for up to 19,000 tickets, which is roughly equivalent to the Viaplay Cup Final in December. These tickets will be distributed between the South Stand and the West Stand, depending on the demand.”

Over the course of November, the Dons made a request for 25,000 tickets to attend the League Cup Final; however, they were only granted 6,000 seats.

Additionally, in order to be fair to the team and their supporters, they sold out their allotment for the showpiece final in a couple of hours. As a result, many people would argue that it was not unreasonable for them to request additional tickets for the Hampden semi-final competition. “Aberdeen In Concert”

There is a good chance that the Dons will sell out their allocation. When it comes to that, there is no doubt. On the other hand, Celtic were always going to be presented with a larger portion of the Hampden allotment since they have a far larger fan base.

Over the past few years, Celtic have maintained a respectable record against Aberdeen at Hampden, and Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that this trend continues next month as he attempts to keep the Scottish Cup in his possession.
