They are the only calamity this team is experiencing at the moment; Ten Hag’s continued use of them is puzzling. Man The United Legends David Scholes criticizes two Manchester United stars for their subpar play. This afternoon, Manchester United defeated Newport County 4-2 in Wales for the FA Cup. Our player ratings for the game are as follows.(A six is roughly average.)

Altay Bayindir 6: His debut featured a few passes that appeared unsteady and some poor throw-outs, but he had little control over either of the goals. Excellent except at the end.

After assisting on Mainoo’s goal, Diogo Dalot 6.5- Got forward and inside frequently, particularly in the first half, but failed to produce a genuine finish.Five-year veteran Raphael Varane appeared adequate in the first half, but was abysmal on Newport’s second goal.

De Luca Martinez 6.5- Appearing sturdy and executing some excellent forward passes.

Luke Shaw 6.5—Unfit for the match and therefore not performing at his peak, but scored the third goal with a magnificent effort that missed the post prior to Antony converting the rebound.

7.5 for Kobbie Mainoo for a well-executed goal and a respectable performance overall.

After a lengthy layoff, Casemiro 5 appeared slightly underweight. Thankfully, he retrieved his customary card, which was a yellow this time.

Antony 6.5—Observed a tremendous amount of the ball in opposition from League Two. With an assist and a goal, I suppose we can’t criticize…

Bruno Fernandes scored 7.5 points with a deft shot and some solid passing.

Alejandro Garnacho achieved very little considering the quality of the opposition and the amount of possession he had. He made poor and avaricious decisions.

7th Rasmus Hojlund Simply put, no service was provided until the objective. It was fantastic for him to score after having a difficult time the entire afternoon.

Sixth-place substitute Scott McTominay has little impact.

Willy Kambwala 6: Minimal influence.

Harry Maguire 6: Minimal influence.

6.5 points from Omari Forson; an assist is not terrible.

Insufficient time for Jonny Evans to make an impact (6).

Manager Erik ten Hag 5.5– Although he selected a formidable squad, the central midfield lacked innovation and the team has yet to resolve the set pieces.
