The Blues will be looking to continue their winning streak this afternoon after suffering crushing defeats at the hands of Tottenham and Manchester City in their last two matches before the break. Eddie Howe will be looking to get his team back on track against Mauricio Pochettino on Tyneside after they dropped their last two meetings before the break.
But Howe will be shorthanded because to Newcastle’s current injury issue, which has sidelined a large number of players. Like Manchester United, Chelsea still have a long list of players who will not be able to play this afternoon, but things are looking up for them.
Following his summer £52 million transfer from RB Leipzig, Christopher Nkunku may make his competitive debut on Saturday. The France international has been participating in weeklong team training and is still a strong candidate to start on game day.
