Manchester United
Bid accepted – the 24yr old have agreed to join Man Utd on a lucrative deal – player unveiling soon.
The 24-year-old has agreed to a lucrative contract to join Manchester United; the player will be unveiled shortly.Reportedly, the 24-year-old is nearing completion of a £100 million contract extension with Manchester United.Under manager Erik ten Hag, the 25-year-old has rekindled his career and contributed to the 2022-23 campaign with 30 goals and 11 assists in 56 matches across all competitions.Rashford, on the other hand, has emerged as a stellar performer under Ten Hag, who stated a month ago that he anticipates the forward to remain with the club indefinitely.
In the summer of 2024, Rashford, who has been with the Red Devils since he was seven years old, will have his current contract expire.
Nevertheless, according to The Mirror, the academy graduate is prepared to sign a new five-year contract, including an additional year of option, and will earn more than David de Gea. He will be the club’s highest-paid player.
Rashford is estimated to earn £200,000 per week under his current contract, but will earn approximately £375,000 per week under his new agreement.
De Gea’s current weekly salary is approximately the same, but the Spanish goalkeeper’s contract expires at the end of this month, which increases the likelihood that he will be transferred from Old Trafford.
Although the 32-year-old has been included on Manchester United’s list of players released, the Red Devils have confirmed that “discussions remain open” regarding a potential extension with the shot-stopper.
De Gea’s wages are to be substantially reduced and a longer-term contract is being negotiated by United; however, the parties have yet to reach a consensus.De Gea, who has accumulated more than 500 appearances in the last 12 seasons, is the Red Devils’ longest-serving player, whereas Marcus Rashford has been a senior player for Manchester United for the past seven years.
United have eight other players whose contracts expire in June 2024, including first-team quartet Anthony Martial, Fred, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Victor Lindelof, in addition to Marcus Rashford, who is nearing the completion of new agreements.
In the coming year, the contracts of Alvaro Fernandez, Tom Heaton, Brandon Williams, Teden Mengi, and Alvaro Fernandez, who spent the previous season on loan at Preston North End, will also come to an end.
