Brutal Verdict from Borussia Dortmund FC can prove that 54 years-old Man Utd coach Erik ten Hag was right to kick Jadon Sancho out of Old Trafford

Some Man United fans didn’t like how Erik ten Hag treated Jadon Sancho last year, but the boss is starting to be shown to be right.

Jadon Sancho’s absence from the Manchester United team in September 2023 and for the rest of the year was the last straw at Old Trafford.

After the 23-year-old took a long break last season because of personal issues, there were high hopes that Sancho would have a better season when Erik ten Hag tried him out in the US as a false nine. That being said, the Englishman’s extreme response to having his training ability called into question was the last straw.

After that, Sancho was sent away because the winger felt Ten Hag’s ruckus. One thing could have happened in January, and it did happen in the middle of the month when a return with Borussia Dortmund became possible.

At first, Ten Hag’s critics said that Sancho’s better play with Dortmund was proof that the manager had made a mistake. The winger had two assists in his first two Bundesliga games, which is pretty good given how long he was out.

But since then, Sancho has turned back into the annoying player United fans know and love. In the four games since his substitute against FC Koln, he hasn’t scored or set up a goal, though his cameo against Freiburg was only a few minutes long.

Sancho made his return to the Champions League on Tuesday night, but he didn’t do much against PSV Eindhoven and was taken off after 68 minutes. Edin Terzic, his new head coach, sent the player a message after the game to warn him.

“With Jadon, it’s always good to have him around,” Terzic told TNT Sports. “Inside the team, inside the group, and also inside the squad on game day, because you know Jadon can do amazing things.”

He knows he can play better football than today because he didn’t have his best game today. We are going to work on getting him back to this level every three days if we need to.

“But he’s full of joy, we are really happy and pleased that he’s around.” Dortmund is going to feel the same way United has since Sancho joined them in 2021: frustrated.

Sancho is a good player who can be very good when he stands in the right place. It’s clear that Ten Hag made the right choice in January and maybe even in September. But those good times are happening less and less often for the England player.
